I was laying in bed and heard and felt a loud boom. Sounded like it came from some where above my apartment.
The vibrations were muffled through the building but there was no mistaking that something had happened.
Went downstairs to get a few things at the market this is what I saw.
Apparently the stairwell had turned into a fancy water feature.
I just wanted something small and tasteful in the lobby for a water feature.
Not this.
I know that boom sound well! They still haven’t repaired our building!
Holy fuck. No way!
all bare walls. The engineers just finished the complete assessment of building- hope they put dry wall up soon!
Let me guess no compensation or anything. Probably really slim with information to keep you in the know.
we wanted to stay in a hotel when the elevators were down, however the insurance company were very vague about wether we would get compensated. Turned out we would have but they didn’t confirm until the elevator was running after 4 days of going up & down 18 floor of stairs on foot.
Of course they aren’t gonna say
sucks for anyone trying to sell their unit!
Oh shit
Guess who was hobbling around, like the old man he is, being useless
Frankie
Bingo!!
I was gonna say someone’s meth lab blew up but then that couldn’t create that much water…
Let’s see what happens when I get home later today.
Was it the pool ?
The pool is at the opposite end of the building this stairwell is at.
Jim – Oddly enough my mom once worked in an office that was part of an apartment building and the pool did sprout a crack!
Ed Chan my first apartment building in Toronto had a meth lab in it. Came home from a 5 day trip and the entire property was swarming with police and fire services. Lucky no kaboom.
