I missed our usual Sunday dip, but not because nothing’s been happening—because too much has. This week’s been one of those rare ones where everything aligns. Projects that matter, words with weight, and a few glorious acts of queer mischief, all moving in rhythm.
Let’s start where it counts.
I’m running again this year in the Pride & Remembrance Run, and it hits harder this time. It’s been ten years since we lost David’s husband, Pauli. Ten years of grief, growth, and finding strength in each other. We’re not just jogging for the hell of it—we’re raising funds for orgs that make a difference right now. If you can throw even a fiver toward our goal, that ripple matters.

And speaking of ripples, TURNIPSTYLE has been flexing this week. We finally introduced something I’ve been building behind the scenes: STACKS. Not categories. Not folders. These are thematic deep dives—movements, moods, and missions. Add to that our new POLLS section, because gods know the queer agenda requires your vote on everything from undie choices to city planning.
You’ll want to read what’s been going up lately. I have been working on connecting dots between architecture and accessibility, frustration and design, even YouTube and the modern screaming-into-fridge era. And this Friday? We’re climbing aboard a moving staircase and explaining how escalators low-key became a staple of queer-coded resilience. You’re not ready. But you should be.
Oh—and while we’re pushing boundaries?
Khaj Phrydae has returned with a new drop that growls. Power. Poise. Prowl.
